Little Red Robin Restaurant & Wine Bar is a small cosy bar & restaurant with a welcoming and intriguing dining experience located in the leafy & buzzy suburb of Lane Cove. Taking inspiration from the traditions and culinary riches of the cultures of the Mediterranean this modest restaurant & wine bar aims to treat its patrons by reimagining classic recipes in a contemporary aspect.
Nestled in a lane way in the Village of Lane Cove, Little Red Robin offers a cosy setting to enjoy modern contemporary dining with only the best produce, at the comfortable banquet seating, accompanied by some of the most intriguing indigenous grape varieties and unusual wine styles the old world has to offer. Our promise is to keep on surprising with frequent menu changes driven by seasonality.
The fit out is stylish, edgy, with intriguing textures, fabrics and colours. The full copper bar is worth seeing (and sitting at). The comfortable designer Italian furniture by Italian furniture supplier James Richardson adds a little bit of glamour. A cocktail in an etched glass martini glass takes one on a luscious journey.

The Dream & Vision
Little Red Robin started as a dream about 5 years ago. Alessandro Nelli & Michelle Warren, owners and the vision behind Little Red Robin, built a business plan, looked for the perfect site, refined the business plan more and then identified Lane Cove as an upcoming foodie area with lots of great people, restaurants and loads of potential. ,
Going through major developments at the moment, Lane Cove may seem like a big risk, but Alessandro & Michelle are confident with the future, with Little Red Robin looking out over to the new Lane Cove park, parking and shopping centre development. “It’s a building site now, but this will be the centre of Lane Cove and quite possibly the North Shore. When we found this small site, we felt it was a great spot due to the future developments and that it was small and cosy and off the beaten track” Alessandro said.

Alessandro is an Italian native born in the country of the Tuscan region, schooled in Switzerland and moved to Australia in 2001.
Alessandro has 20 years experience in a variety of establishments before then managing front of house in leading Sydney institution Lucio’s, the 2 Chefs Hat Paddington establishment.
Alessandro grew up on a vineyard & olive grove in Tuscany. The family made their own wine & olive oil on their property. Alessandro learnt the value & quality of fresh produce while growing up – the family would consume their own wine & olive oil every day and fill up the bottles from the large vats in the ‘cantina’ out the back of the house.
